The GSA (Graduate Students’ Association) is an independent university association run for, and by, postgraduate UEA students. We recognise that being a postgrad can be very different from life before graduation so we are dedicated solely to representing your interests.
Representation
The key role of the Graduate Students’ Association is to represent the interests of postgraduate students.
Support
Income from the university and any profits from the running of the GSA Grad Bar allows us to provide limited financial support for postgraduate attendance at conferences. The GSA Conference Fund exists to help postgraduate students, who have no other funding for going to a particular conference, with travel costs and registration fees incurred while attending a conference that is relevant to their course of study.
Social
The GSA Grad Bar is located upstairs in Union House. The bar provides a social venue with a more mature atmosphere, where graduates can relax and socialise with fellow postgraduates. Profits from the bar are used to fund GSA activities including the conference fund.
